Welcome to Caroline"s Closet!

Thanks for visiting! Here, you will find a sampling of the clothes I've made for my daughter, Caroline, and my clients. I love to hear what people think about my designs and I love to hear about what you are sewing! While I am no longer able to accept orders for custom sewing, I'll try to continue to post recently completed projects.

Happy sewing!

The Cherry On Top

This outfit is so cheerful and sweet, I could just eat it up! It's constructed in a fun, printed corduroy from the Robert Kaufman Cool Cords collection and trimmed in a red and white polka dot "ruffle-rac" by Michael Miller. The mid-thigh length A-line top is lined in red gingham and fastens at the shoulders with coordinating fabric-covered buttons. The elastic waist pants have a straight leg with a slight flare at the leg opening. Both pieces in the set are made from custom drafted patterns to match the clients measurements. This set would look perfect, paired with either a white turtleneck, trimmed in red picot or a white blouse trimmed in red gingham piping.
This outfit will be heading out the door to a client soon, but I think I may have to use this fabric again to make something for Caroline. I just know that she would love the cherries. I can already hear her requesting her "cherry dress" while getting dressed for school!
